This week’s featured chef is our good friend and world-renowned master chef, Chef Michel Thomann. Thomann has won numerous awards over the span of his illustrious 40-year career as a culinary artist and restauranteur.
Born and raised in the Alsace Region of France, he spent his days working on his grandfather’s farm, learning to work with his hands helping to harvest vegetables, pick fruit, and developing an understanding of when the produce was at its ripest.
Today, Thomann’s amazing culinary journey finds him creating memorable food experiences for elite passengers on yachts navigating the Caribbean. Guests dining on the aft deck alfresco under the stars in a beautiful harbor heap praise on Thomann and his creations.
“I talk to my food and food talks to me,” said Chef Michel Thomann. “I never use a meat thermometer, and I do not use mixers, machines, or other fancy kitchen gadgets. I can feel the food better when I do everything by hand, by sight, and by smell.”
Thomann prepares five-star meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for guests aboard the Italian-built VISTA BLUE yacht. He is a gem and is widely recognized by many as the best chef in the world.
